drinks at diablo royale, dinner at gemma at the bowery hotel, more drinks at the harlem hotspot 17 below, and a drive by at the hudson hotel (drama ensued, wack outcome) -
- don't get me wrong- each place had it's substance, was up to par for certain things.
and ok- so maybe saturday night is date night?? but what happened to the good ole reliable cool spots - drinks, mingling, good music, more mingling, loungie, more drinks, no attitude, overall good time stay out til 4am & the lights are coming on chill spots??? this is (supposedly coined) the 'city that never sleeps' - - as far as i'm concerned, ny is a big ass snoozefest! nightlife is WACK! - to put it mildly - i can't remember the last time i had fun, danced my ass off, and had a hangover for a good reason the next day!
maybe i'm just old, maybe i'm jaded, maybe my standards are too high??? - i mean, really, nothing is like it was back in the day - but seriously, what has become of NYC nightlife ???
somebody, anybody PULLLLEEEEZE clue me in....
